Wild + Wilted was born out of my desire to inspire women to fill their homes with intentional, heirloom pieces with immense sentimental value.
Hi, I’m Annah! A Jesus seeking, modern homesteading wife + homeschooling mama of two wild boys. 🌿
From a young age I was always creating in some capacity. Ive spent years growing my skills in painting, sewing, pottery, baking and went on to earn an Art Therapy degree in college. This particular journey began when I pressed flowers as a child with my mom. I remember feeling fulfillment and fascination being able to successfully preserve the tiny details found in nature. Once I had a toddler of my own, pressing flowers and leaves was something we experimented with together. What started as an educational activity, turned into a passion.
As I have been perfecting my skills with a wider range of florals, pressing has not always been easy. Completely self-taught, I have quickly realized working with wedding bouquets is a delicate, meaningful practice. I have learned to prevent mold, preserve color, and reassemble petal by petal. I am proud to work alongside my husband. Miles (impressively) creates all of our wood frames in-house! Both of us pour so much time and love into every bouquet we touch. As of now, I am called to balance Wild + Wilted with life home with my family. In addition to the timely process of preserving and designing florals, you can find me hiking with the family, baking all sorts of sourdough breads and desserts, doing Bible study at a local coffee shop, or creating the finest of art with the boys.
Preserving and designing florals is a slow, intentional process, accurately reflecting the slow, intentional living in our home. When you have your sentimental, heirloom floral artwork in your home, my hope is it reminds you too to slow down and cherish the tiny details in life- recalling another memory with the loved one lost, soaking in the hours of rocking the newborn you’ve long awaited, or recognizing the beauty of being newlyweds dreaming and planning for the future ahead. It is truly an honor having the opportunity to create art serving as a memory and representation of a significant moment in your life. Please reach out to me anytime and Id love to discuss your preservation. I am dedicated to creating a quality, everlasting product you will cherish forever!
